Palin: "Ready to start the healing on day one."
Humor Times Special Report
WASHINGTON, DC – Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who many Republicans hail as the second coming of the Virgin
Mary, sans the virgin part, says she is "ready to lead America into the promised land" and usher
in the "1,000 year era of peace and prosperity promised in the Bible," as vice-president.
"The Lord has anointed me, and I humbly accept my new role," she said in a rare press
conference. Since the GOP convention in early August, Palin has been in near-isolation from the
press, as she undergoes what her handlers termed "brainwashing - in the sense that she had an
unclean brain. You know, she's a pretty wild gal underneath." Read more...

Our latest movie review from Gary Chew
"Burn After Reading"
Adding more fuel to the raging 2008 presidential blaze comes another Coen brothers film called "Burn After Reading." Right up front, let's be clear. If you think the past eight years have been an effective, productive duration of time for the USA, you may wish to avoid seeing this speed-of-light black comedy also written by Joel and Ethan Coen. If you're of the persuasion that there's been something lacking or even worse in the way things have gone for our beloved country since the beginning of the 21st century, I highly recommend "Burn After Reading." "Addicted to War" comic book, click to visit site
An Anti-War Comic Book
ADDICTED to WAR: Why The U.S. Can't Kick Militarism by Joel Andreas takes on the most active, powerful and destructive military in the world. This ain't your father's war comic book! It tells the history of U.S. foreign wars – from the Indian Wars to the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan – in a comic book format. Over 200,000 copies have been distributed, and it has recently been approved by the San Francisco School District as a supplemental book to be used by high school history teachers, grades 10 through 12.
The book makes great reading for anyone, full of facts about U.S. wars you didn't get in school, like this great quote from Major General Smedley Butler, who at the time of his death was the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. After he retired in 1931, he said "I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism."
Don't Like Telemarketers? Of course not. So get on this list, make 'em face a hefty fine if they call.
