The Women in My Life

A piece in praise of women on this Mother’s Day weekend.

I am an atheist. I don’t believe in god. But,

I believe in goddesses.

Yes, the goddess who gave me life,

The goddess who brought me into this world.

Try to Imagine a world without women,

We can’t Because, every birth begins with them.

Women are not just to woo men,

Who are men without them?

A woman is our first teacher.

I have learned a lot from the women in my life

How to love, how to live , how to dream, how to be brave.

We don’t thank them, because we were hardwired that way.

By choking my male gene I want to be thankful to women.

We should praise them,  we were raised by them.

I am not a feminist, I am a humanist.

Women empowerment isn’t just a movement, it’s an evaluation about ourselves.

She shouldn’t be shushed, She should be saluted, respected.

All the great things in the world are referred to as she, but we are not recognizing the greatness of SHE(WOMEN).

I often think that the world would be a lot better if we all had more of our mother’s genes in our DNA.

We owe an unplayable debt to Women.

Every woman is a mother.

We all remember and realize to respect them on this day or on women’s day.

It’s a pity.

Everyday of our lives given by them.

Everyday.

I am borrowing a quote to say thanks.

“Thanks to my mother and to all the mothers who made us.”
