“I’ve put these procedures off in an attempt to stabilize my finances before undergoing the surgeries,” says Regi. “My personal finances are such that I cannot afford to be incapacitated for any significant duration. The reason for my current financial state started with the original surgery to implant the pacemaker, which nearly killed me.

“My cardiologist has advised that by no later than end of summer it must be replaced, giving me 3-4 months to develop a source of income to sustain my family during a possible extended recuperation as before.”
