Stock market trader Alessio Rastani stunned his BBC interviewers this morning when he stepped outside the usual Wall Street script and said what most of us intuitively know, yet the media ignore.
“This economic crisis is like a cancer, if you just wait and wait hoping it is going to go away, just like a cancer it is going to grow and it will be too late,” Rastani said.
As a post on Alternet said, he is “maybe the only stock market dude ever to be honest outside of his crony circle.”
“Most traders don’t really care that much how they’re going to fix the economy,” says Rastani. “Our job is to make money from it… I have a confession. I go to bed every night and dream of another recession… The governments don’t rule the world. Goldman Sachs rules the world.”
