I am feeling put upon
Pushed to state whose side I’m on
Think the whole thing’s just a con
I’m an Independent voter

Watching one speech, then another
I can’t pick which pol I druther
Maybe I’ll just ask my mother
I’m an Independent voter

Court me with your robo call
I’ll weigh your pitch with all my all
Though in your trap I’ll surely fall
I’m an Independent voter

This year I am leaning Trump
But Bernie wows us on the stump
Still I’m feeling like a chump
I’m an Independent voter
