President Donald J. Trump, acting through Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon, is making the 1956 science fiction film, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, required viewing for grades K-12.
The Plot: an invasion of earth by spores from another planet occurs. The spores grow rapidly into pods, from which duplicates of earthlings emerge. Any pod left near a human assumes that human’s identity. After the creature is fully formed, it awakens and then replaces the human it replicates.
The sci-fi film, starring then up-and-coming actors Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter, has long been viewed by critics and American audiences as an allegory for the systematic takeover of the U.S. by Communists and other forces.
“The movie is not about the Russians replacing us,” barked Trump from the Oval Office as he signed the executive order mandating showing the film to students. “The Russians,” he said, “are our friends–our best friends!”
Trump went on to say that Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a tutorial on “Replacement Theory,” the dogma whereby “foreigners and other coloreds” are replacing “regular, white folks, the folks who built this great nation! The people who capitalized investment, the people who owned and ran the sweatshops and the plantations.”
The film, filmed noir-style in black and white, has been partially colorized to show the developing space aliens as brown, Black, Native-American and yellow. Trump added that the film would be shown every night at the Kennedy Center and in the White House, alongside Birth of a Nation, which, he said, “is one of my favorite flicks.”
Trump White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Invasion of the Body Snatchers IV is presently in development. The film will show the terrors of the “other” taking over the country, casting ballots, taking Black jobs and “eating burritos at every meal.”
Leavitt revealed that movie will be an AI production under the leadership of DOGE Baron Elon Musk, who has cast simulacrums of Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Taylor Swift in the lead roles.
